I was a pharmacy student doing a public health rotation at NOVA Scripts Central under Dr. Donney John. My experience at NOVA Scripts was fantastic and I really learned a lot from Dr. John as well as from the team. One of the big things I noticed was how connected everyone was there; it is literally like a small family. Everyone at NOVA Scripts spoke and treated me with respect; I felt like I was truly a part of the team. (I remember one of the staff gave out little, personalized Valentine's cards/treats; I thought she was going to skip over me--since I was new there--but she didn't; these are the little things that really stood out to me).

More importantly, the work they do there is amazing. Everyone works so hard to make sure that they are doing the best to impact underserved populations for the better. I especially loved one of the events they hosted: teaching elementary and middle school aged children the importance of eating healthy and exercising. The kids absolutely loved this and were really engaged with the speaker. There were many other things but this review is getting a bit long.

It seems like everyone at NOVA ScriptsCentral really loves what they do and they, without a doubt, deserve the Great NonProfits Top Rated Award. I hope that this review just says a little about what they are doing and the substantial impact they are making in the DC MD VA area.
