Review for FixNation, Los Angeles, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The single most lifesaving thing anyone can do to save cats AND kittens is spay/neuter. LA is home to an estimated 3 million stray and homeless cats, and a single female cat can have up to 3 litter per year, meaning 12-16 unwanted kittens.

If shelters had glass walls, everyone would be supporting spay/neuter, but in LA finding low cost and FREE services for stray and pet cats is an insurmountable challenge.

FixNation is the ONLY nonprofit in LA that will fix every cat that comes through it's doors in a trap for FREE. There are no restrictions, the kitties receive superior medical care, and the staff does a fantastic job at meeting the demand of people who travel sometimes hundreds of miles, just to take responsibility for homeless animals and make sure they're not adding to our already over crowded shelters and streets.

Do we need FixNation to expand, and open more locations to meet the demand, YES. High quality, free and low cost spay/neuter is real rescue and fixing cats directly impacts our shelters, neighborhoods by preventing kittens from being killed at a shelter, or a life on the street.

I sincerely hope you'll support FixNation and maybe someday instead of focusing solely on adoptions, we'll get to the root of the problem, save lives and become "FIX" Nation!

Review for Sante Dor Foundation, Los Angeles, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I hope everyone considers Sante D'or when they're ready to adopt & even more importantly ready to make a donation!
Every little bit counts & this organization truly makes an impact on the local community. They're professional, caring & clearly put the animals health and long-term safety above all else.
So thrilled to see a local non-profit helping in so many ways.
Thank you to Sante D'or for supporting the Los Angeles community & the many pets in need.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Someone literally dumped 5 newborn kitten on my street in Silver Lake & after 2 days of bottle feeding & trying to find help for these newborns, Sante D'or offered to taken them in. They generously provided a foster mom who was able to bottle feed them every 2 hours, gave them necessary medical care & finally found them fantastic homes. What an extraordinary group of caring people right here in Los Feliz/Silver Lake.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

They need exposure & $ in order to impact MORE pets & people.

Role:  General Member of the Public & I've donated food & misc. items.
