I support the Golden Empire Council because I believe Scouts is the greatest program available to experience the outdoors, develop teamworking skills and teach our children to make sound decisions throughout their life based on the principals of the Scout Oath and Law.

My children are third generation Eagle Scouts and, avid outdoor enthusiasts, and I see values they learned in Scouting still guiding their decisions as adults today.

The mission of the Scouts is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. At challenging times like these, I can not think of a better organization to develop our future leaders than Scouting. Teaching youth lead leadership thru the patrol method, learning important lessons in a safe environment to challenge oneself and the joy of camping are three of the important reasons we need Scouts more than ever.

I am an Eagle Scout, my two son's are Eagle Scouts, I am a volunteer with the Board of Directors for the Council and my sons have worked at summer camp numerous years. The lifetime friendships and the values they have learned thru these relationships are priceless.

The Golden Empire Council has earned "Gold" status as evaluated by standardized Scouting metrics the last four years, and we will continue to provide the ultimate opportunity for the youth of our Council going forward.

The Golden Empire Council executes to the highest standard the mission of Scouts, to prepare youth to make moral and ethical decisions. I am proud to be a part of an organization that so well supports the youth of our community.
