Review for For Pete's Sake Cancer Respite Foundation, Plymouth Meeting, PA, USA
When I first found out about for Pete's sake, i was what felt like rock bottom . I had just completed extensive cancer treatment and a bone marrow transplant. Most of my year was spent in the hospital. I was in the worst physical shape of my life and very depressed. When I began to recover and was allowed to travel, I was fortunate enough to be nominated for a Pete's sake respite. Upon my initial travel date, I became ill and had to cancel. They were very understanding of my situation and were able to reschedule for me. The property was at the tides inn, of Irvington Virginia. Pete's sake provided transportation, and a stipend check for expenses. It was a nice break from the hellish year I've endured. Pete's sake is a wonderful organization, the equivalence of make a wish, for adults. Their staff, volunteers, and donors are true heros.
