I started making hats for KOL at the request of my daughter. She works for Google NY and they were having a 'give back' campaign so she signed up for KOL and asked if I would help her. And although the campaign ended, I continued on.
I think she also thought that since I was a recent breast cancer survivor and also one who likes to crocket that it would be a good match. And it has!
I enjoy making the hats for those who are going through chemo. I know first hand how one feels when they no longer have any hair.
And a great shout out to Christine for this wonderful charity. I feel she really gives it her all and the personal phone calls to thank everyone and to let them know where their donations are being sent to is the icing on the cake. How many charites even bother with a thank you. Christine goes out of her way to make us all feel appreciated.
