I have been working for CASA for 15 years and have been an advocate for 22 children. That requires becoming familiar with all aspects of each child and usually each of their parents, too. Not always easy due to changes in placements of the child. Their parents may not be compliant with the demands of the court, and we have to keep tract of that. If the parents do what the court requires, they may get their children back. Sometimes there is a better, safer, place for that child and we have to check to make sure. I feel that CASA provides a needed extra pair of eyes to keep the children safe.
