I've been a reading mentor with Everybody Wins! Iowa for about 13 years. I love meeting weekly with my student to catch up on what's going on in their life as well as exploring new and different books together. I've always felt literacy is a foundational skill and feel great knowing I'm helping a student along on their reading journey by sharing my love of reading. I've also had the opportunity to serve on the board for several years and love how the community really comes out to support this awesome organization.

I’ve been a reading mentor with EWI for close to 8 years. I love my weekly lunch date to read with a student. It’s nice to take a break out of my busy day to slow down and share my love of reading with a child.
