I have been aware of Knots of Love for many years. Personally, we have been touched by donations of hats for my father who passed away from cancer. He was always so proud of his full head of gray hair well into his 80's and was so dismayed when following treatment he began losing it. Having the bright and warm cap to wear truly brightened his day. We have had the same experience with several friends who received hats as well. They may be a small token, but anything that is done to brighten someone's day that is battling cancer is awesome. Now that they are doing blankets for babies as well, it touches your heart to know the volunteers are doing this for babies they don't even know. They truly honor veterans as well by their cap donations. It's a wonderful organization and one you can trust is using your donations to better the world, one head at a time!

I have contacted Knots of Love a few times to request hats for friends and family. My requests have always been honored within days if not hours of having the hats shipped off to the recipients. And are the recipients happy - no, they are ecstatic! Going through the chemo and/or other cancer treatments is devastating enough without the loss of hair. Having a cap someone made just for them, in a color of their choosing - really brightens their spirits at a time in their life when they could use something positive in their life. Can not recommend this charity enough. It's not often you get such special treatment from a non-profit, but everyone is so nice and helpful it is a joy to work with them.
