About 3 years ago I found the love of my life "Harvey" through Danny & Ron's Rescue.

In the past 10 years my life has taken some turns that I could never have anticipated. I've moved twice after living in the same place for over 20 years, I've sold my family's home of almost 200 years, I've bought a new home & sold it & then bought another & renovated it...but the biggest challenge or change is that my Mother (who has Alzheimers) now lives with me.

To say that life is different is an understatement. It's an emotional rollercoaster. So, in an effort to maybe calm things down & to give my Mom a companion for her long days, I thought we would adopt a dog. My long time friend Kim had been telling me about Danny & Ron's Rescue where she had been helping out for sometime. She had said "just let me know when you're ready & I'll find you the perfect dog". So, I called Kim & gave her the green light. It wasn't long before got a message from her that she had found him. His name was "Harley" & he was a 7 year old maltese/poodle mix.

A few days later "Harley" arrived with Kim after a long drive up to NJ. In the days that led up to his arrival I had lamented over his name.....how could I have a 11 lb., white maltipoo with the name "Harley"? He looked like a rabbit! & there it was....I'd rename him "Harvey" just like the Jimmy Stewart movie.

"Harvey" couldn't be more perfect! He is love. He brings light into every dark moment in my life & has done so from the minute he arrived. My intentions of providing my Mom with a companion went out the window shortly after we got him home. He decided he was mine & that was all there was to it. I think he loves my Mom but I'm his. He follows around me like a lamb. When I leave for work he bids me good buy & when I return he there to announce my arrival. I have never know such complete love. He is perfect.

So, in rating Kim for her talent of identifying the perfect fit.....5 stars
Danny & Ron's Rescue for all they do to provide for those 4 legged babies that can't provide for themselves.....5 stars

I am for ever grateful for the love they've brought into my life!
