I was newly diagnosed with polycythemia Vera and my oncologist prescribed Jakafi. My insurance approved the drug but the copay would be $1,500.00 per month for 60 pills. When the specialty pharmacy gave me this information I told her I couldn’t afford to pay. She asked me some financial questions and said she would see if she could find a grant to help me. Thirty minutes later she calls me back in disbelief to tell me the PAN foundation would cover my co-pay. The news brought tears of relief and joy because I prayed to God for help and he gave me your foundation. I am ever so thankful for his divine intervention and your generosity!
