Skydog is hands down one of the most extraordinary animal sanctuaries I've had the good luck to cross paths with. Founder Clare Staples is very transparent, not only about costs and expenses but also about the healing challenges these wild horses face once captured. The good, the bad, and the ugly - both physically and emotionally, Clare shares it to the extent she can.

An additional huge plus is their Global Federation of Sanctuaries (GFAS) Accreditation. I assisted another sanctuary in getting this hard-earned grueling accreditation so am familiar with all of the physical, financial, and planning structures that Skydog has in place to cover a variety of situations and scenarios. It speaks very highly of them that they would go to the lengths necessary to receive this coveted accreditation in the animal sanctuary world.

From their transparency, to their GFAS Accreditation, to the extraordinary communication with supporters and donors, to the freedom they provide these wild horses and the families they reunite...Skydog is a truly extraordinary sanctuary.
