My son had a heart transplant at 3 years old and at that time we learned the scary truth that a heart transplant is not a cure, it's a chronic and serious condition and without advancements in therapies he will one day need another transplant to survive. Enduring Hearts is the only nonprofit dedicated to funding innovative, life-saving pediatric heart transplant research. This nonprofit gives us hope and courage to believe that our son can have a long, healthy, quality life living with a transplanted heart. Thank you Enduring Hearts for your committment and advocacy, for advancing science in the field of pediatric heart transplants, and for your support for transplant families.

As the mother of a child who has had a heart transplant, I am so grateful to Enduring Hearts and their mission. My son's transplant saved his life and we are forever grateful, but the journey post transplant is filled with so many struggles and challenges for a child --- from the frequent doctor visits and labwork and procedures to manage his transplant to the complications of anti-rejection medications that protect his heart but suppress his immune system and make him vulnerable to so many illnesses and even cancer. The promising research that Enduring Hearts funds, that only Enduring Hearts is focused on, will change the lives and outcomes of children like our son for the better. Enduring Hearts gives us hope for a better future for our son.

My child survived heart failure and a life-saving transplant when he was 3 years old. When we learned that it was inevitable that he would one day have to go through all of that again, we were so discouraged until we were introduced to Enduring Hearts. Enduring Hearts is the only nonprofit focused on pediatric heart transplant research. It's our greatest hope, and I believe in its mission and the dedicated scientific advisory board and its leadership so much that I now serve on the board so that I can do all I can to further that mission and give my son and kids like him their best hope for a long, thriving life. Enduring Hearts provides community support to transplant families, advocacy and education, and funding, guidance, and partnership to the scientists and researchers who will solve transplant rejection.
