I, like most people, did not know that when a child receives a heart transplant it is not a lifetime cure. As a parent myself, it is hard to fathom the worry, stress, and anguish that parents of a child who needs a heart transplant endure leading up to the child's first heart transplant. To think that the child, and the parents, will most likely need to go through that experience again is unimaginable.

Enduring Hearts is the leading nonprofit dedicated to funding research to increase the longevity of pediatric heart transplants, improve the quality of life for kids with heart transplants, and eradicating pediatric heart diseases that may lead to a heart transplant. Enduring Hearts is doing critical work in this space and I am proud to support this very important cause.
