I moved to a new town with a toddler and a newborn, and my parenting took a nosedive. I first learned about Hand in Hand Parenting from their free online articles about sibling rivalry and sleep, which was very helpful. Then, as the sibling rivalry increased, I signed up for a class, and it honestly made me feel like there was light at the end of the tunnel. I wasn't doomed to fail as a parent, and my kids were not irredeemably aggressive-- I was just lacking some concrete tools. Instead of "don't do this, don't do that" it was "try this out and see what happens!" and "I see how hard you're working." My family life has its ups and downs, but I feel equipped now to handle the downs, and I make sure to enjoy the good times.
