After a four year battle with recurring cancer, For Pete's Sake was there right when we needed to be lifted up. They heard our story, brought us into the fold, and sent us on the most amazing journey with 10 families who were all in need of the break that this respite trip provides. Not only were we well cared for, rejuvenated, and loved, we met a whole new crew of lifelong friends. Now we all fight and heal from cancer together and couldn't be more blessed. Thank you, FPS.

Learning about For Pete's Sake from a dear friend was truly life changing. Our little family had already struggled through two years of tragedy and loss when I received my first cancer diagnosis. Following that, life continued to hand us more than our share of major life traumas, and then I was diagnosed with cancer again, exactly two years to the date of my first diagnosis. To say that we were downtrodden and heartbroken would be an understatement. Just as I was losing my job, we learned that For Pete's Sake had chosen us to receive a respite trip. Not only did the trip give us something to hang on to, the FPS team checked in with us, insured we had all we needed every step of the way, and shipped this great box of gifts and supplies just before we departed. We were fortunate enough to be part of a group trip to Maine, and we have been changed for good. And FPS has stayed with us still. I cannot say enough about this wonderful organization, its leadership, and its team. What a blessing to cancer families!
