I became aware of Operation Kindness in December of 2016. I found out a neighbor had given up their dog to the city shelter and Operation Kindness took her in. I was very upset because this was an older dog and one I had cared for multiple times. I went in to Operation Kindness and asked if I could visit with her and seeing I was visibly upset they staff allowed me to say a goodbye to her. I say goodbye because the next day she was adopted! The staff so kindly told me a little about the match. I became a volunteer a week later. The staff is so amazing.
