Review for For Pete's Sake Cancer Respite Foundation, Plymouth Meeting, PA, USA
It was 1 year ago I found out at 32 that I had triple negative, BRCA1 positive breast cancer and needed to under go a bilateral mastectomy and 8 round of chemo. I was so very thankful for FPS who gifted me and my family a trip to Florida to take a break from cancer- even writing this, I am tearing up. The trip allowed us to reconnect, to hug often, to spend that quality time together that we would not have been able to have without this wonderful organization. From day 1 to present FPS staff is upmost professional, caring and down right awesome! Many times folks who are middle aged are looked past when diagnosed with an illness, having small children, full time jobs, and the most responsibilities that one can have, it is very hard to find that time to be one with yourself and with your family, it is hard to find that time to stare at your loved one and tell them how much you appreciate and love them, to spend that quality time with your children and to see those moments that make you want to cry- in a busy, fast paced world, FPS slows it down and shows you what in life is most important and that is to enjoy it to the fullest. Thank you FPS for allowing me and my family to be a part of your family. This amazing company deserves the upmost recognition for all their hard work and dedication to all of us.
