This organization was begun by an 80-year-old woman, previously employed by a well-known animal charity whose funds were not being appropriately utilized for the animals in need. That chapter ultimately was forced to declare bankruptcy, but the animals still needed help. So, on a fixed income, she was trying to continue to support those without a voice by using her own meager funds. When she was no longer able to keep up with the demand on her own, she made the decision to start her own organization so she would know exactly where the donations would be going - and every cent would go to the animals.

As a result of her stellar reputation as a tireless advocate, many of the donors and supporters she had worked with previously followed her to support her new non-profit. She is well-known in the veterinary community; and while she appreciates their generosity and willingness to contribute, she will not utilize the services of clinics whose care is sub-par.

Having been raised in a home where the value of these 4-legged lives was as genetically programmed as learned, I can tell you this woman is absolutely inspirational. Her love and devotion to critters of every species, shape and size is genuine. Her work is what gets her up in the morning and gives her purpose. I would like to endorse her organization, Care for Needy Paws, as one of the best. She has touched countless lives through this organization because she had the determination to follow her heart when others would have given up.

She is now 82 years old and continues her quest to help as many furry lives as she can.
