Worked with Laura and Vicky from Halifax Dog Squad for several years now. I trust them and that is important in a shelter/rescue relationship. We work together in pulling dogs from local shelters or look at owner surrenders offered to them, then the dogs are vetted , vaccinated, chipped, altered if needed..and then offered food, warmth and love. Both Laura and Vicky have good instincts and good hearts, they offer honest evaluations of the dogs , we hope to transport. If a dog will not work for us, they let me know. They work long hours and invest funds of their own to keep animals safe and healthy, I would say they are a GREAT nonprofit, indeed.
