Review for The Pain Community (a DBA of Women With Pain Coalition), Alamo, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

When you live a life of chronic pain and illness you can and do feel isolated from day to day life. Even through all the ups and downs of this messed up world, I know that I can count on The Pain Community to be there for me. The support calls are there every week and even though I don't always get to go every week, it is just knowing that they are there for me when I can or need to go. That is what makes them my go too for support, education and they always make sure that I know that I am seen, heard and my journey is valid.

I just wanted to stop by and once again share how much The Pain Community means to myself and others who live with pain. The Pain Community isn't just another non-profit, The Pain Community was brought to life by a group of volunteers who live with pain, work with people who live with pain and care about people who live with pain. These volunteers continue to work to support and give of themselves despite their own pain. If you are looking for a great organization who cares about you The Pain Community is it! If you are looking for a great non-profit to volunteer with, The Pain Community is it! If you are looking to donate to a non-profit and want to know exactly where the money goes and how it is used then The Pain Community is it, they are totally 100% transparent. The support calls that The Pain Community provides every Tuesday of the week, is not just a support call, it is a safe place to share, a safe place to be yourself and to share your life with pain. The moderator has lived with pain for over 20 years and she is caring and supportive and real.

I have found out that the people who work quietly behind the scenes at The Pain Community are all volunteers. That means so much to me because it shows that they are there because of the passion they have to help others who live with pain. They aren't getting paid to get up and go to work everyday, they go because they want to help me and others, they want to make a difference in the lives of people with pain. That is 100% the coolest thing ever. Thank you to those behind the scenes, you have no idea how much what you do means to me.
