I just spent the better part of a week side-by-side with the folks from Honor and Remember during America's Run for the Fallen, and I can tell you that these are the finest people on earth - collectively and individually. These folks have hearts of gold, and it shows day-in and day-out. After seeing the first ceremony at the first marker in South Carolina, I knew it was important that I be at every marker while they were in this state. So much so that I followed them into North Carolina and didn't want to say goodbye. Honor and Remember is an organization that is true to their word - they say what they do, and they do what they say. In just 7 short days, these folks have become like family to me, and it's because they put they're heart into everything they do for Gold Star Families and the loved ones who they honor.
