Having my son’s name on his own personal flag, and then his name being on the list for the America’s Run for the Fallen, and also being able to be there at Arlington Cemetery when the runners came in... was the greatest thing to be a part of. Never forgotten!!

We had our own mile run in Ohio to coordinate as my son’s mile was run in Arizona by wonderful volunteers who stood for us. The teamwork of Teresa Koontz of Blue Star Mother’s of SW Arizona and Tom Mitchell of Ohio’s Honor and Remember worked with Run For the Fallen and all made it easy for us to participate, we will meet the runners and finish with them in Arlington VA.
