About 5 years ago we rescued a beautiful white pigeon from a creek near our home. We took him to the Lindsay Wildlife Hospital in Walnut Creek as we did with any wild life we found that needed help. They informed us that the pigeon was a domestic bird and they could not take him. We were referred to Palomacy for guidance and that was the beginning of our great adventure into the wonderful world of pigeons. We promptly built an aviary for our beautful new friend on our patio. Eventually we fostered and adopted two more birds from Palomacy over the years and cared for them until their passing. Recently due to unforseen circumstances I am no longer able to care for him so Palomacy has most graciously stepped in to foster him and provide much needed medical attention and outstanding daily care until he is ready to go to a new home. I can't say enough wonderful things about Elizabeth and her team of volunteers. They work tirelessly year round to educate the public and help as many birds and the people who love them as possible. I will always be grateful for their support and will continue to put this rescue at the top of my donation list whenever possible. They deserve all the support we can give them!
