As a magic mentee, I could not have imagined the extent that this program would change the way I view careers in STEM fields, especially computer science. Before I joined this program, I was intimidated by programming because most of the coding clubs and classes in my school where very advanced, but there wasn't a good place to learn how to code. MAGIC showed me how programming can be used to enhance work in fields other than computer science, and my mentor taught me so much to show me that a career in STEM is attainable and full of opportunities
