I recently retired after 45 years in the educational profession and was looking for an opportunity to volunteer with an organization that served and helped those in need. Southeastern Guide Dogs has exceeded my expectations in allowing me to be involved in raising and training dogs to assist sight impaired individuals and therapy dogs for veterans. I volunteer in the Puppy Kindergarten taking care of the young pups and have learned so much from this outstanding organization. The standards and regulations for the program are exceptional. Staff/volunteer training is exemplary and support is unconditional. I’m honored to be involved in such a worthwhile endeavor.
