I have worked with SCKR for over 15 years now. I have never been involved with such a wonderful rescue. Susan McKoy is a wonderful leader. She only wants the best for our dogs. We are a rescue that always takes back their rescues. That is so important today.

Fantastic Rescue! I have worked with SCKR for over 10 years. They are amazing. I found out about SCKR from my BFF and ex-neighbor Suzanne H. when I lived in Manhattan Beach, CA. She had rescued a Keeshond from them and then started working with them. I moved to Silver Spring, MD and a Keeshond came into the shelter and I asked if I could rescue him...They said yes and we made it happen and because they only will adopt in the Southern California area as they want to make sure all the dogs are taken care of and can be returned at "ANY" time we had Jazzy transported back to CA. I then started volunteering with them as I could do Application checks and vet and reference checks over the phone from MD. Then a person goes to the home and checks it out and there are many specifics to adopt from us. People don't get to choose the dog, we make sure it's a perfect fit to the best of our ability. Susan, the director, has been involved with rescue for years and she knows her stuff. Amazing group of women and amazing fur babies. I'm so grateful that I have been involved with them and will continue as long as I am able.

I have worked with this amazing Rescue for about 10 years now. They are the best and I am honored to be a part of the rescue as a volunteer. We do extensive checks on anyone one that wants to rescue a dog from us. We don't let the people pick the dog....The pick has to be the best place for the dog and the family. These dogs have already gone through so much and they need to be placed in the right place. The other thing I love is that we will take the animals back at any time. If later in life people get sick, etc. They can come back to the rescue. We never want our animals going to the shelter. This is a win-win. For the animal and for the family rescuing. A lot of rescues don't care where their animals go but we do and we follow-up and stay in touch with our adopters. SCKR ROCKS!!!!!

This is a fabulous rescue. I have been involved with them for about 10 years. They make sure the dogs are given the best vetting and training before they find the right match for the dog. The dog is the most important part of this rescue. That is how it always should be.
