Review for Cleveland Rutherford Kidney Association, Shelby, NC, USA
I began volunteering for CRKA over 20 years ago. Since then, I have seen how CRKA has helped patients and families affected by kidney disease. Our organization helps those who come to us with medication, travel to the hospital and dialysis, food, clothing, bills, etc. This organization never turns folks away and does everything in its power to help those in need. Without funds to keep us going, I am not sure how long we can continue to serve the kidney patients of Cleveland and Rutherford counties.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Over the years I have personally seen how we have helped people with medications, food, clothing and just being there to offer support, guidance or to just lend an ear when they needed to unload. We provide a phenomenal service to our community.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
continue the service that this organization provides.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
seeing immediate results when we help our patients. I also enjoy meeting our patients and their families and knowing that we have helped them in some small way.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
wonderful, kind and compassionate. All of our volunteers are there to help our patients and to see to their needs.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
move mountains and help even more folks in our area!
Ways to make it better...
I had personally had more money to give. I can give of my time though and have missed very few fundraisers over the last 20 years.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
money to keep us going. It would also be nice to have a larger facility to host patient events.
One thing I'd also say is that...
there could be no better non-profit around that the Cleveland-Rutherford Kidney Association!
