I am a Volunteer and a Board member of over 25 years with the Cleveland Rutherford Kidney Association. This group takes care of their own, whether they are volunteers, board members, or patients. We help patients in Cleveland and Rutherford Counties. I, along with many other dedicated individuals work tirelessly to make sure our patients have what they need. Its a lot to be on dialysis. It takes a toll on your body. Some patients have a hard time being able to buy their medicine they need to stay alive. We help them with anything we can. But, For the first time since I have been involved in the CRKA , and with Covid -19 being front and center, we could have to close our doors. That would be a tragedy in this county. I urge you to consider making a donation to this organization. It is tax deductible and I personally know that our funds go directly to our patients. This is an awful time in our country. I truly hope that we can get through this critical time and come out better!

Thank you for your kind consideration of CRKA! Our region is privileged to have the Cleveland-Rutherford Kidney Association serving the community. CRKA has served our area by "identifying and helping meet the needs of kidney disease." They are dedicated to providing life-saving services to those in need. CRKA and the many volunteers within the organization are well known for outstanding patient care. The organization offers guidance and assistance to hundreds of people who would otherwise have nowhere to turn. As an independent organization, CRKA is able to provide services that strive to make patients the priority and provide the necessary assistance that they deserve. We are grateful for CRKA's continuous efforts to combat kidney disease and everything they do for Cleveland, Rutherford, and Gaston Counties.

I began volunteering for CRKA over 20 years ago. Since then, I have seen how CRKA has helped patients and families affected by kidney disease. Our organization helps those who come to us with medication, travel to the hospital and dialysis, food, clothing, bills, etc. This organization never turns folks away and does everything in its power to help those in need. Without funds to keep us going, I am not sure how long we can continue to serve the kidney patients of Cleveland and Rutherford counties.

I have been involved with CRKA fo 20 years. They do so much with so little. Renee and her volunteers nad staff work tirelessly for te kidney patients in Western North Carolina. I have been on both sides of the fence as a volunteer and patient. I have 2 kidney transplants. Crka ia a wonderful entity.

Cleveland Rutherford Kidney Assoc. does so many things for the patients and their family. I am so proud to be able to say that I was a volunteer and if I had not moved out of the area I would still be helping today. I hope that with this review that it will benefit them in many ways. I am so honored to be able to see some of the art work for Pennies for Heaven...

I am a kidney disease patient in addition to being a volunteer. Recently I had a kidney transplant from a living donor. CRKA members came all the way to Duke Medical Center in Durham NC to visit and to give support to my family during surgery, afterwards in ICU and then for the rest of the three months we were there (due to secondary complications). We are home now and I'm back helping at support center which is "therapy" in itself. Volunteers and staff are always popping in to give me words of encouragement.

My son went through kidney failure, dialysis, a kidney transplant, rejection, dialysis and his death during a five year period. The CRKA was there through every joy and crisis our family experienced. My son loved the staff and they loved him. We could not have endured what we went through during that time without their support. All my family became volunteers and did benefits in memory of my son. We raised over 50,000 doing barbecue benefits each year for 13 years. We thank God the Cleveland Rutherford Kidney Association was there for us in our time of need. Michelle Hoyle is currently the director. Sincerely, Linda Petty & family.
