I have worked in the field of brain injury rehab for about 20 years. I am very aware of the struggle that families face following the diagnosis of one of their members with brain injury - it can be a devistating and life changing diagnosis. I met the founders of Brainstorming 4 Us a number of years ago and since that time I have come to admire and respect the tireless efforts of the founders and their volunteers towards making the lives better for family and patient following this diagnosis. They have raised awareness, raised money,developed a wonderful support group and have developed notebooks full of valuable information that they provide to hospitals for families. There is such a great need for services particularly for those without adequate insurance and Brainstorming 4 Us helps when families don't know where to turn. The founders have personal knowledge of the devistation of brain injury and through their committment to those also walking that pathway they have made a big difference in many lives. They certainly have touched my life and continue to have my complete admiration for what they do and what they have accomplished. I hope they continue to find support for their efforts.
