Being a Senior on a fixed income makes it difficult to afford care for my companion of 14 years, my kitty Cleo. Veterinary costs are among the highest expenses a pet owner must deal with. Cleo was in need of a vet visit and Marianne, the founder of Sams Hope, stepped in to provide affordable care in the form of a Sams Hope Veterinary Care Assistance grant. The vet determined Cleo's kidneys were not working properly and recommended a special diet. The food is expensive. Sams Hope provided the first case and my family agreed to pay for the rest. Sams Hope also provides an abundant supply of cat litter, which as every cat owner knows, is necessary to assure a happy home.
