Hello everyone, let me start by saying Sams Hope is a "Blessing" and Marianne is an "Angel".My precious baby Cookie had eaten a rag and a toy. It all tangled up together and she had a blockage. Of course I didn't know at the time. She was throwing up for at least 12 hours. I took her to the Vet first thing in the morning. He took an xray gave her some medicine to keep her from being nauseous and said if she keeps throwing up take her to the emergency room or bring her back in the morning to see if whats in her intestines moves. He had no empathy. He didn't tell me she would die without treatment. I knew one more day she would be gone. She was throwing up blood and yet he still sent us out of his office.

When we got home i started searching the internet. Im on a fixed income and was desperate thats when i came across Sams Hope I read the application and fit the criteria. Marianne called me right away. She set up the appointment for first thing in the morning she was just as upset as me. The xrays were emailed before we arrived and the Dr was ready to start. There was a rag 18 inches long and pieces of a plastic toy tangled in her intestines. Doc had to cut her bowel in 3 places to get it out and her abdomen was punctured.She had staples and stitches She made a speedy recovery and is doing fine. Doc did her follow up to make sure everything was fine. Marianne checks on us periodically. Im so grateful for Sams Hope without their help Cookie would not have made it .
