Review for Schnauzer Ranch & Friends TX inc, Sanger , TX, USA
I found the Schnauzer Ranch & Friends by chance some would say. I believe it was God calling me to do what he intended me today. I was driving from my home state of Michigan after spending a few weeks visiting family, to Texas where I now live. I suddenly had an “ idea” that just maybe an animal needed transport. I have no idea why, I’ve never transported an animal and had never even thought or considered it. However, I’m a prod Schnauzer Mom and have a love for all animals. So, I searched and joined a transport page. There on the page I instantly saw a Schnauzer that was at Schnauzer Ranch who needed to get back to Texas to his foster mom, Marcia( co -director) She had fostered Klause and got him to Andy(Owner/Director) in Missouri so he could be vetted and find his forever home. However, Klause had other plans. He missed his foster Mom so much that her wasn’t eating and was declining quickly. They decided that Klause needed to get back to Marcia right away. That’s where my daughters and I came in. We met Andy a few hours later and wecomed Klause to our journey to Texas. He was so sad and no matter how much love, snuggles, treats and reassurance we gave him, he just would cheer up. His little heart was sooo broken that it brought my daughters and I to tears several times. We know how happy and sweet Schnauzers usually are. After a long drive and a night of good rest we pulled into Marcia’s driveway. The moment Klause saw and heard Marcia he transformed into the happiest dog I’ve ver seen. I couldn’t believe my eyes. For two days this little guy was just there with out a single tail wag...nothing! Now he was jumping, barking and running with his pack of friends again! Klause was HOME! Andy and Marcia knew and understood exactly what he needed! Witnesses this pure joy first hand has brought me many tears but it also opened my heart to helping other dogs. Our family has always volunteered at shelters but now we volunteer transport whenever we can. We even rescued a pup who was going to be euthanized in Houston for having a broken leg. That was in July and she’s still with us healing ( kennel cough, heart worming+, breast cancer, scattered pelvis and having another growth removed from another tet next week) I think she and Klause have spoken and she plans on staying with us! lol Schnauzer Ranch is an AMAZING place run by the best of the best! They take on all the little souls that other rescues turn away. The love here is real and deep!
