Curamericas Global is an amazing organization that does much-needed work in remote communities that would otherwise be neglected. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to be a programs intern and assist with the Guatemala program. For me, it was especially meaningful because I spent many of my formative years in Guatemala and I am of Guatemalan descent. It was great to be able to find a local organization that helps mothers and children in need of some basic life-saving services. The staff and volunteers are all genuinely invested in the cause and work together to achieve and exceed their goals. I highly recommend volunteering, interning, donating, and/or getting involved in any capacity with this fantastic group of people doing fantastic things.
