My wife and I had been discussing getting a new dog/puppy for our 2 year old. We were going to wait until the spring when it was warmer, but one night while discussing, we found Luna on Petfinder.com. She was 1/2 long-haired chihuahua, which is what our previous dog of 12 years was, so right then and there we decided on the spot we wanted her. I contacted Karen and we started the process right away. I had an application in my inbox within minutes of the initial contact, and we were approved for adoption the next day. I was given the foster mom's contact info and was able to have all my questions answered. We then picked up Luna the following day. The adoption process was well explained and went very smooth and fast. For 16 weeks old, Luna is extremely well behaved and very sweet to everyone she meets. I would highly reccommend going through D & R Rescue for all your pet adoption needs.
