The Assistance League of the Eastside is a great organization that provides sweat sets and personal care supplies for victims of sexual assault that come through our Emergency Department for a forensic exam. Often these victims have their clothing taken as evidence and have nothing to leave in except hospital gowns. With the help of the clothing donations from the Assistance League of the Eastside group, these victims are given dignity as they are discharged from the hospital to move forward in their lives after their trauma.

The Assistance League of the Eastside provide comfort and compassion to the victims that come to our hospital seeking care and justice after suffering the most horrific personal violation imaginable.
With their donation of new sweatshirt and pant sets along with personal toiletry care items, victims of sexual assault leave the hospital after their forensic exam with new clothes to wear. This small gesture goes a long way as many clothing items are taken as evidence in a case against the person who assaulted these victims.
The emergency department at our small, rural hospital is so grateful to this non-profit group for providing their much appreciated donations. We see the value of their service passed along to the patients we serve who come to us as victims of assault and leave with new, clean clothes and personal items and therefore are on the path to becoming survivors.
