Review for Quantum House, West Palm Beach, FL, USA

Rating: 5 stars

We have lived in Quantum House almost 7 months. This is a wonderful institution, where everything is done for the benefit of the patients and their families. Our four year old daughter Alisa had limb lengthening done at St.Mary Hospital in Doctor Paley’s Center PALLI. The period of uninterrupted struggle for Alisa’s leg had probably been the most challenging experience in our lives. At this difficult time Quantum House became a real home away from home for us. The staff is very attentive and professional, always kind and ready to help with all kinds of current questions - from advising where to take out the child for a weekend to recommending an excellent hairdresser. Also we were truly amazed by the range and scope of volunteers help, offered in every aspect of everyday life – impressive everyday cooking, cleaning of the House communal areas, organizing arts classes and activities for children, and caring for the garden. All the children got lots of nice and thoughtful presents for Christmas and Easter. The culmination of our stay was the charity concert of the famous musician Kenny G, who came specially to play for the sick children. The rooms in Quantum House are well equipped and there are spacious common areas – the lobby, the playroom and the kitchen, the dining room, the laundry and the computer room with free access to Internet (Wi-Fi internet connection also available in the rooms). One of the best things about Quantum House is the community of people who share the same experience – having children with congenital leg deformities. The chance to share life stories and exchange information is unique and not to be missed. After staying together in Quantum House people become friends for life. We know we still have a lot of trials and tribulations to overcome. But the stay in Quantum House and the treatment was certainly a landmark. We don’t know how to thank everybody in Quantum House for all the generous support during the treatment of our daughter. We think we are blessed to have met all those wonderful people during our stay: patients and their close ones, medical and administrative staff, and just good American people who would come to the Quantum House to cook for us every day and otherwise stretch a friendly hand of support. Thanks for everything you are doing!
