Quantum House is a loving home that provides a warm, stable environment for children undergoing long-term medical treatment in Palm Beach County. During one of my recent volunteer opportunities at the house, a family with multiple children undergoing treatment told me there is no other place like it in the United States, They were effusive in their praise and gratitude. The children of the families supported by Quantum House are often undergoing multiple procedures for their various conditions, and having a place that not only provides all of the comforts of home, but also is a stable environment, relieves a major burden on the families so that they can focus on their children's care. The staff is loving and friendly and makes every family feel welcome. Quantum House is truly unique, and we are so grateful to have Quantum House in our community.
QH is an extraordinary provider of resident services for families during a critical time. They go out of their way to accommodate the needs of the families. Top notch staff delivering five star service.

I was called by Robi Jurney, Quantum House CEO, about 11 years ago after attending a PGA Corridor breakfast meeting. She asked me to come visit the Quantum House and have lunch. I did and was hooked /involved ever since! One thing for sure is the ease in which to support and volunteer at the Quantum House. One can feel it by simply walking the hallways, seeing the lovely families and knowing that you are making a difference in their lives and welfare. I have always stated.. it is one thing to simply write a check to support a cause; however to see and feel the change you are making is another. And that is exactly what Quantum House does when you volunteer and support it's cause.
Quantum House exceeds all expectations of a nonprofit organization. Not only do they provide a comfortable place for families to stay during their medical procedures at nearby hospitals, but they also offer a welcoming and fun environment. They go above and beyond to give the children an experience they will remember from daily arts and crafts to hosting a Summer Camp with special guest appearances. QH gives the children something exciting to look forward to during a difficult season of life. It truly is more than just a place to stay, it is a tight-knit community turned into a family.
Here are a few pictures from Day 1 Of Camp Quantum House this summer!
Quantum House is an excellent supporter of the community and families who going through medical procedures at St. Mary's and other nearby hospitals. The place is warm, loving and nurturing. Tons of activities for the families and meals served up daily at this oasis in sunny Florida. As a Board Member for nearly 10 years, I've watched Quantum House literally triple in size, completely renovated and add stellar volunteers, advisors and board members over the years.
I have never come across a more dedicated and committed charity in my life. What Quantum House does every day is nothing short of amazing and the way our community gets behind this charity is humbling to say the least.
Companies, organizations and individuals' come together every day to supply the ingredients and prepare dinner for everyone at the House. I personally have cooked for more than 70 people staying there is its so rewarding to see the responses of the guest.
This charity puts our community on the world stage as people come from all over the world for the renowned medical working being carried out at St. Mary's Hospital and as a community we should be so proud of all the hard work and effort the staff at the Quantum House puts into this every day.
Quantum House is amazing at hospitality and love. The staff and volunteers make the house a high quality, top notch place for families. Not only are the accommodations high quality and clean, but they also provide food and fun for the families.
I have been participating in volunteer work for Not-for -profit organizations for over 20 years and I need say that working with Quantum House is the only one that I can honestly say that provides me with a sense of purpose and meaning. All of Q' House programs, be they fundraisers or delivering services to clients are superbly created and executed in a superior manner. I offer my most heartfelt salute of gratitude to Robi and her team.
It has been an honor to sit on the advisory board of the Quantum House the last few years. Not only do they help thousands of families in dire need each year, they allow the volunteers to provide hands on support in such a loving way, such as through programs like "Chef for a Day". I am thrilled the company I work for has also embraced QH and frequently is able to donate our time, energy and resources to support the families who stay at QH.
Quantum House is a "home away from home" for families of children undergoing extended hospitalization in the West Palm Beach, Florida area. QH provides lodging for up to 30 families and is located adjacent to St. Mary's Medical Center, one of the local major hospital facilities. In addition to lodging, QH has a full size, state of the art kitchen, laundry facilities, computer stations, and a wonderful, caring staff. They constantly set up activities for the children to help them stay happy, healthy, and positive. It is a godsend for many!
We volunteer at Quantum House through Nurturing Notes music therapy program initiated by Palm Beach Symphony and Creative Arts Therapies of the Palm Beaches. Initially an in-person program, we transitioned to conducting virtual video sessions after Covid-19 restrictions took effect in March, 2020.
Having worked with Quantum House staff in-person as well as virtually, we can strongly attest to their unparalleled professional ethics and companionship. From the very first email to in-person visits, and later, to virtual video sessions, they always conducted themselves with utmost professionalism, respect, and appreciation of our volunteer efforts. We witnessed time and again the immaculate condition of this facility, as well as the staff's professional, caring, and compassionate regard for the Quantum House residents. It is with great pleasure that we continue a fruitful partnership with this wonderful organization.
Quantum House is 100% super awesome. The management, services, and donators are really useful. We came from overseas and have no family or friends in Florida. We lived in many different hotels and spent a lot of our money. It was the Quantum House managers (Megan, Shay, Laura, etc.) who helped my family and provided almost everything to them with no charge. All donators were so kind. I will never forget their generosity. If I were rich, I would definitely donate to the Quantum House and its residents. Thank you!
This non-profit, which provides compassionate care for children going through major medical issues and their families, has done a consistently fabulous job for about 20 years of creating a "home away from home" for these children and their families while going through stressful medical issues. It's entire budget is from donors, and many leading business organizations and wealthy individual donors provide their financial and human resources to Quantum House year after year - that proves the value of its mission, and is a testament to the terrific handful of employees who run the 30-room house and the day-to-day activities of Quantum House.
I have been involved with Quantum House since before it was even built almost 20 years ago! This organization is totally focused on serving its families and this allows the House to collaborate with all kinds of other charities to leverage its mission. It also supports very targeted campaigns to raise funds and volunteers since people quickly "get" what we do and why it is impactful and how they can get something out of it for themselves. Staff is wonderful to our families of course, but also mindful of our sustainability, our volunteers and our reputation in the community.
Quantum House offers every guest and family a very personalized experience. As a volunteer,I can attest to the fact that they are extremely volunteer friendly. The staff work as a cohesive team to delight the guests. They pull together themselves and with community resources to be sure that even the most challenging situations are resolved in the most positive way possible.
As a long term donor, I am confident that my family’s donation is being well used.
We were in need of accommodation on an urgent basis for an emergency C-section and an extended Neonatal Intensive Care Unit thereafter. We were directed by the hospital to QH and we unexpectedly found great facilities, friendly staff and lots of support and advice to go through this emotional roller coaster. This is truly a house away from your own house.

I have had the opportunity to work with the team at Quantum House for many years now. In September 2020, our Tire Kingdom stores were hoping to bring a smile to the faces of the families staying at Quantum House during the COVID-19 pandemic and we stopped by with the Kona Ice truck and treated the team and the families staying at Quantum House to a sweet treat. Not only did it bring a smile to the faces of all at Quantum House, but also mine and the faces of the entire Tire Kingdom team in attendance. The team at Quantum House is truly one of a kind!
I have been a volunteer at Quantum House for two years now and have witnessed the amazing dedication of their team. Helping their patients , children and their families to be in a warm nurturing environment as they go through their surgeries and recoveries. The Quantum team do everything they can to make their patients have an all around support system for as long as they need to be there. Beautiful to see people caring .
Before I was involved on the Advisory Council of Quantum House, we found ourselves a resident of the home. Our son was in the PICU at St. Mary's and my husband and I were able to stay at Quantum House while he was receiving treatment. The ability to stay at the home was a blessing and allowed us some since of normalcy in a very difficult and scary situation. We will be eternally grateful for having such a great asset in West Palm Beach. Our son is healthy and our time spent at the PICU is now a distant memory.
What a great place to stay in. Particularly when you are so pre-occupied with your own medical problems that you try to overcome. Friendly and cheerful staff, out of the box vision, great director, fabulous Operation Manager, wonderful/helpful coordinators and magnificent care takers they all have to be praised for the great Job they do. They all go miles beyond what you expect. It is home away from home. Sometimes we feel that going home will become a challenge for us because we will not have the luxury of being taken care of the way they do it at the QH. Everything is at your fingertip from ready hot meals 99% of the time three times a day to laundry to pampering to extracurricular activities. We can say a lot more but we will rather you experience it for yourself as seeing is believing and their actions speak for themselves. If you are accepted to stay you consider yourself a lucky one.
We have lived in Quantum House almost 7 months. This is a wonderful institution, where everything is done for the benefit of the patients and their families. Our four year old daughter Alisa had limb lengthening done at St.Mary Hospital in Doctor Paley’s Center PALLI. The period of uninterrupted struggle for Alisa’s leg had probably been the most challenging experience in our lives. At this difficult time Quantum House became a real home away from home for us. The staff is very attentive and professional, always kind and ready to help with all kinds of current questions - from advising where to take out the child for a weekend to recommending an excellent hairdresser. Also we were truly amazed by the range and scope of volunteers help, offered in every aspect of everyday life – impressive everyday cooking, cleaning of the House communal areas, organizing arts classes and activities for children, and caring for the garden. All the children got lots of nice and thoughtful presents for Christmas and Easter. The culmination of our stay was the charity concert of the famous musician Kenny G, who came specially to play for the sick children. The rooms in Quantum House are well equipped and there are spacious common areas – the lobby, the playroom and the kitchen, the dining room, the laundry and the computer room with free access to Internet (Wi-Fi internet connection also available in the rooms). One of the best things about Quantum House is the community of people who share the same experience – having children with congenital leg deformities. The chance to share life stories and exchange information is unique and not to be missed. After staying together in Quantum House people become friends for life. We know we still have a lot of trials and tribulations to overcome. But the stay in Quantum House and the treatment was certainly a landmark. We don’t know how to thank everybody in Quantum House for all the generous support during the treatment of our daughter. We think we are blessed to have met all those wonderful people during our stay: patients and their close ones, medical and administrative staff, and just good American people who would come to the Quantum House to cook for us every day and otherwise stretch a friendly hand of support. Thanks for everything you are doing!
We are so grateful for the Quantum House. This is our second time here and words cannot describe how thankful we are to be here and how much we truly enjoy every aspect of the house. We have traveled here from Oregon for my son's surgery. The first time I contacted the Quantum house, the director took my call on her cell phone and was gracious enough to hear my story...I will never forget that. The staff is so genuine and they go above and beyond to meet the needs of the families! The house is beautiful, clean and has a very calming feel. The play room is fully equipped with the Wii, board games, art supplies and it was my son’s second home. It has also been wonderful to meet other families and share in their experiences while still having your own space and privacy to heal. As difficult as this time has been for my family, the Quantum house has been nothing short of amazing. We will be back for more surgeries and I look forward to seeing our Quantum house friends again.
My son and I have been residing at Quantum House for 2 months as our son undergoes limb lengthening at St. Mary's Hospital. It has been a difficult process, especially because we are 1,200 miles from our home and separated from our family and friends. Quantum House has unquestionably been a wonderful refuge for us throughout this trying time. When my other child and husband come for periodic visits, we have more than enough room to share our time together. The house itself is beautifully furnished inside and outside. There are places to share with others and places of solitude if you wish for that. But beyond the beautiful building, the caring and warm staff is really what makes Quantum House the wonderful home that it is. Always seeking to make the guest residents feel at home, the employees are beyond compare. They always have time to lend an ear, provide a shoulder to cry on, or offer a word of hope. I am not sure how we will feel when we finally leave --- naturally, thrilled to be returning to our home, but sad to leave the friends that we have made during this challenging time. The support of other resident families and the staff here has been priceless. Our time spent at Quantum House will be remembered with fond thoughts and memories.
