Review for Information Technology Disaster Resource Center Inc, Fort Worth, TX, USA
I deployed with ITDRC (Information Disaster Recovery Center) to Puerto Rico to help re-establish Internet, E911 and telephone services after hurricane Maria. We worked at hospitals, clinics, emergency operation centers, libraries and community centers.
The 7 ITDRC volunteers were well supported by the resources organized ITDRC.
Southwest Air provided flights and airfreight to Puerto Rico.
FEMA provided accommodations on a ship, food, and fuel.
Dish/Hughes provided satellite Internet service. (along with installation technicians)
Fortinet provided routers.
Ruckus provided wireless access point
Google provided satellite phones (and volunteers)
Dell provided Chromebooks (and volunteers)
None of this would have been possible without ITDRC's organization!
Picture is of a working Emergency Dispatch stations that had not been functional since the Hurricane 7 weeks earlier.
