Review for Central Institute for the Deaf, SAINT LOUIS, MO, USA
The Central Institute For The Deaf (CID) has been, and continues to be, an extemely positive experience for my entire family. My daughter, Kennedy, was born with congenital CMV that has slowly taken her hearing. Now completely deaf, but aided by two cochlear implants, I cannot tell you how incredible it is to talk to my 3 year old, and have her talk back to me and have us both understandeach other! CID has made it possible for my daughter to not only live in a hearing world, but to one day conquer it. - Kevin Berghoff

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
...everything my child speaks, does, and hears!
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
...Continue the great service that it provides for the community.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
...that it is not a one time thing. It is a lifetime thing.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
...knowledgeable, friendly, and a pleasure with which to work.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
...help so many more children with hearing loss prepare for the hearing world.
Ways to make it better...
...I would never have had to use this wonderful organization. It is a rare gift that I never wanted, but am so grateful that I received.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
...money.
One thing I'd also say is that...
An organization like CID has made me understand how important a village is in raising a child. I cannot thank them enough for giving my daughter the communication skills that my entire family are all too quick to take as "normal".
