As a result of the generosity of Assistance League of the Eastside, over 1,000 students had the opportunity to pick out new school clothes at the shopping event at our local Fred Meyer. Many of our families depend on this event to clothe their growing children. As the need in our district has grown, Assistance League of the Eastside has graciously expanded their program to help more families, including high school students and unaccompanied minors. Over the years they have streamlined the application process and it is a pleasure to collaborate with them. The shopping nights are always a joyous experience. This program creates beautiful smiles on so many faces. Students arrive a school the next day, feeling confident and proud in their new outfits. We consider Assistance League of the Eastside a valued partner in supporting our struggling families.
