Review for National Anti-Vivisection Society, Chicago, IL, USA
Paws for Life NC, a foster-based animal rescue in rural North Carolina, was fortunate to receive a grant to fund medical care for two cats and a dog from NAVS. Hemi required a leg amputation after a harrowing a frightful rescue from a busy highway, Mika needed extensive medical care due to a deformity of her ear, and Goldie was heartworm positive and nearly starved to death in an abandoned house. All now healthy and two out of the three adopted. Interacting with NAVS staff was a pleasure and it was clear they are passionate about promoting animal welfare. NAVS makes a difference in the lives of animals each day. The support to the rescue community is outstanding. The advocacy to stop unnecessary suffering is essential to protect animals against needless harm. Thank you for advancing animal-friendly laws and policies in the scientific community.

What a blessing to have been granted funding to help our rescue treat little Mika. The entire process was quick and efficient. We received an answer within a couple days and the reports were straight forward and easy to complete. Little Mika had a ear canal damaged by an unknown cause and needed treatment to get her ready for adoption. I have attached a few of her photos.
We were so glad we could help with Mika and are so happy she is healthy enough for adoption now. Thank you so much for all you did to help this beautiful cat!
