I got involved with Southeastern Guide Dogs about 4 years ago, when I decided to become a puppy raiser after retirement. My wife and I are currently raising our 3rd puppy, and the experience has been beyond rewarding. The organization is fantastic, both in its mission, and in its being. Everyone at the school is concerned with only one thing, and that is the breeding, raising, training, and placement of these invaluable dogs. The feeling of joy and contentment that I get every time I interact with Southeastern is beyond description.
