I am a Volunteer Puppy Raiser for Southeastern Guide Dogs, and am completely smitten with this organization. They are completely devoted to their mission of providing highly trained guide dogs to the visually impaired, and service dogs for veterans. Their statement of providing dogs "For those who can no longer see, or those who have seen too much" just resonates so deeply with everyone engaged with the organization. Every decision they make keeps their mission front and center, is with purpose, and always with the well being of the puppies in mind. Their volunteers, such as us puppy raisers, are always made to feel appreciated and valued. We are given countless opportunities to see the value of our work first-hand, and any moment to help us understand and participate in the mission of Southeastern is recognized. I applaud Southeastern for all they do, and couldn't be happier to volunteer with such a mindful organization.
