As a long-time volunteer attorney for Partners for Women and Justice, I can attest to the life-changing impact that this organization makes in the lives of victims of domestic violence. When I represented my first Partners’ client in her Final Restraining Order hearing in 2004, I saw the relief that she felt when she realized that she could finally stop living in constant fear. The staff at Partners is caring and professional in all its dealings with clients. Partners’ staff coordinates efficiently with volunteer pro bono attorneys and other resources to bring the full force of the legal system to bear on violence within families.
