Volunteering with Hope 4 Horses in Galt, California for the past year-and-a-half brings me great satisfaction. The work I do there, whether cleaning stalls or assisting with adaptive riding lessons, makes a positive difference to the horses, the students, and my community. Not only do I get to be around horses on a regular basis, I also learn more about horsemanship and about myself every time I'm there. The H4H Board members and the other volunteers are a wonderful group who support each other in observing safe horse-handling practices as well as engaging in activities to enhance the H4H programs.
