I had the pleasure of volunteering my time for a shift at an event organized by ALE...specifically, Operation School Bell. This program provides clothing assistance to needy children of all ages via paid-for shopping events at local Fred Meyer stores. I met the most dedicated, enthusiastic bunch of organizers and volunteers from ALE during this event, which proceeded like clockwork from start to finish. Most priceless, however was seeing the joy on the faces of the kids at the check-out counter, as they left with new clothing of their choice for the new school year. ALE is truly an organization which makes an impact on thousands of young lives in the area!
