Review for Jewish Family Services, Columbus, OH, USA

Rating: 5 stars

This organization helps people in the community address psycho social needs ranging from unemployment, holocaust survivors to adult care issues. This organization is available to the community at large but could be viewed as a haven for people who are Jewish. Many years ago, I was a recent Master level graduate and this agency was incredibly helpful to me

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Seeking help for myself and knowing that many people in the community have received the help they need

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I think they are fantastic in every way. They have a very strong and dynamic leader, staff. The chair of the Board is very competent and committed

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Feeling I could make a difference

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

people who go above and beyond because they are passionate about what they do. This is not a job to them.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

provide more services and more outreach

Ways to make it better...

Once we reach a strategy, I would like to be more involved with raising money through corporate sponsorships

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Funding. But I believe we can work it through

One thing I'd also say is that...

they have great strength in the leadership, staff and great clarity of direction. I am proud to say I work with them

Review for New Directions Career Center, Columbus, OH, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have been a volunteer with Center for New Directions for going on 5 years. My work with the organization is very meaningful. I teach a course on “Feeling Fear and Getting the Job Anyway”. I am always so grateful for the work that New Directions does. I wonder what the woman who participate in the programs would do without the Center to help send them on course. The women need so much and I do believe the Center for New Directions provides invaluable guidance and direction. I am always welcome as a volunteer by the staff and participants and all the details for my meetings are well planned and coordinated. This is simply a terrific organization whose mission I cherish for helping people who need so much. Please let me know how I could be of greater service. Merry P. Korn
