I put in an application for a special needs dog. I was able to provide an excellent home with no children, no cats, a large fenced in backyard, and someone who works from home and therefore is always there. I listed the number for my regular veterinarian as well as an emergency vet. My regular vet does not take after-hours emergencies, so I had the other vet as a backup because they do take after-hours emergencies. I have been fortunate enough to never have to use emergency vet. My application was rejected on the basis that the emergency vet had no record of me as a client. When I tried to explain that it was because I had never had to use them they never returned my emails and stopped communicating with me.

Based on the other review, they don't seem to actually want to adopt out their dogs.
