Review for Tangible Hope Foundation, Sausalito, CA, USA
Tangible Hope is an incredible success story. Tangible Hope is a nonprofit that has empowered young girls in Ethiopia through education, medical treatment and nutrition. It’s amazing to see the transformation of the young girls that are now thriving in their communities, and continuing their education. We now can see the model works and the result is some of the young girls that are now young women have graduated from college, have to gone into medical school and have become a nurse, and others have gone into leadership roles in the community. As a Board Member I have witnessed their transformation and the success of this organization. Tangible Hope is now branching out to other communities. The Founder has a great vision for this model to reach other communities and as we empower more young women this can make positive differences in communities globally.

Tangible Hope Foundation is quite a success story. This foundation has truly changed young girls and young women's lives for the better by giving them a voice and choice in their own lives and through their communities in Ethiopia. This has been done by providing them nutrition, medical care, and education. As they started out as malnourished , unhealthy and uneducated young girls, they are now thriving young women that are going to college and wanting to make a difference for other women, families and in their community. It’s been my honor and privilege serving as a board member, but also a sponsor for these amazing girls. The effective and successful model of tangible Hope, the care of the people who are part of it and most of all the founder Lily Yoseph has made this all possible, and tangible.

Tangible Hope is Bay Area nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering and protecting young girls and young women by advancing their rights through education, basic medical care, nutrition and sustainable development. By empowering these young women in Kofele, Ethiopia, we are creating a generation of women who can lift the next generation of women out of poverty and into a vibrant life of opportunity. I became involved when I sponsored a young girl over 6 years ago. My best Friend Lily Yoseph, was inspired to start a foundation after a visit to Kofele, where she was born and raised. She was overwhelmed and saddened to see the level of poverty in her hometown and felt compelled to make a difference in the lives of the young girls that lived there - to offer them an alternative. When I started to see these amazing positive changes that were happening with these girls I decided i wanted to do more. I now serve as a Board member, and witness firsthand how these young girls have transformed. The organization gives girls and young women a choice and a voice. Some are now aspiring to be teachers, and doctors in their own community. Lily Yoseph received the Unsung Hero Compassion award by his Holiness the Dali Lama. Please visit the website at www.tangiblehope.org. We are currently working on a project to build a center with a sustainable garden and computer labs to provide a safe haven for the girls after school. Donations can also be directed towards sponsorship. It's amazing to think how friendship and following your heart can lead to positive changes in the world.
