Review for Relief International, Washington, D.C., DC, USA
I am new to the Relief International community... already very impressed with RI's programs, communication, and proactive hard work because they do it where it matters most--the most fragile places in the world.
RI is staffed around the world by very dedicated, very brave an effective professionals. I'm inspired to be involved with this organization. RI has extensive global outreach in today's crisis areas. The RI teams and programsproven make a difference in the lives of families in distress, peril or in vulnerable situations. Many are refugees, welcoming and benefiting from RI's guidance and support.
Review for The Roberto Clemente Health Clinic, Baltimore, MD, USA
I am so proud of this team, and this community! Yes, I helped start the Clinic in 2003, and yes I am on the board, so some bias is expected. But I am based in the US, not in Nicaragua. It's our dedicated local medical and project mgt teams that have made this health and education team a reality. They are so genuine in wanting to make a difference to this impoverished community-by-the-sea. And more and more, they have involved members and leaders of Limon Community, and extended communities often hard to reach...as well as volunteers from all over, the Ministry of Health..and other non-profits in the region. More and more, our programs go beyond triage and primary care health services to educating about good health and living longer, about eating healthy, drinking clean water and other preventatives. This Clinic inspires me and I'm so grateful to be involved. Anyone is welcome to join me.
